Integrated Career Day 2022 Forms Collaboration with the Polman Negeri Babel with MGBK

SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. The Counseling Guidance Teacher Meeting (MGBK) of Bangka Belitung and the State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Negeri Babel) successfully carried out Integrated Career Day activities at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic campus 21 – 22 October 2022.
The activity entitled Integrated Career Day MGBK Babel 2022 is one of the debriefing activities for high school, vocational, MA or equivalent students to get an overview and guide to entering the world of higher education and career planning in the future.
Chairman of the Bangka Belitung MGBK for the period 2022 – 2026, Windy Garini, S.Pd. would like to thank the MGBK committee and the Polman Negeri Babel who have helped organize the 3rd Career Day agenda.The purpose of MGBK holding this activity is to provide accurate and complete information to twelfth graders about the world of education, the world of work, and the business world as their provision later in order to realize and strengthen their career plans after graduating from school.
"This goal is a form of moral responsibility and the function of guidance and counseling services in the career field, therefore we need to hold career day activities," said Windy (24/10).
Windy explained that in 2022 the 2nd Integrated Career Day has been held, previously in March 2022 it was held at the University of Muhammadiyah Babel and SMAN 1 Tanjung Pandan.
As for October 2022 this time, MGBK collaborated with the Polman Negeri Babel campus as the host and on Belitung Island in collaboration with SMAN 1 Manggar.
"We have collaborated with the Polman Negeri Babel, we thank you for the support and cooperation with the Polman Negeri Babel," said Windy.
Windy added that the Integrated Career Day MGBK Babel 2022 will be held for 2 days on Bangka Island and 2 days on Belitung Island with an agenda of 21 – 22 October 2022 which will take place at the Polman Negeri Babel Campus and 24-25 October 2022 at SMAN 1 Manggar Belitung Timur.
Regarding the series of events, Windy said the event consisted of a career talk show ready to go to college, a talk show ready to work, a career talk show ready for entrepreneurship, a campus expo, campus socialization and promotion classes, mini coffee and bakery barista workshops as well as a parent talk show.
He continued, the campus expo and socialization of campus promotions or sospro were filled by various campuses that took part in this activity, many campuses outside the Babel area took part, even from overseas campuses, namely Malaysia.
"The participants of this campus Expo, Alhamdulillah, there are 11 campuses, both in Babel and outside Bangka Belitung," said Windy.
"For the mini coffee barista workshop and bakery bakery, we collaborate with the BLKI and the Bangka Belitung Manpower Office," he added.
"Alhamdulillah, this inaugural mini workshop reached 131 participants and the participants were very enthusiastic about getting this training on how to make coffee and bread," he added.
Windy continued, as for the Integrated Career Day MGBK participants target is all high school / vocational students in the Bangka Belitung islands, the activity went successfully and smoothly.
The Counseling Guidance (BK) teacher at SMKN 5 Pangkalpinang also said that the MGBK agenda was to build a vision of success in student self-management, which requires an introduction to the reality and learning of higher education, what are the conditions, opportunities and competition.In addition, it is also necessary to introduce general requirements to enter the world of education in the era of rapid changes in the future. How to find, select and select college admissions, all of which are in the process of developing a career, education, work and entrepreneurship.
"To realize MGBK's vision of student careers, we collaborate with various parties including the National Police of Babel and SMAN 1 Manggar in career day activities, thank God the activities went smoothly and successfully," said Windy.
Meanwhile, the Director of Polman Negeri Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D. welcomed the Integrated Career Day MGBK Babel 2022 activity, through this activity it could introduce students to provide an overview of the next steps after graduating from school.
"As a state university, we are very grateful to the chairman of MGBK for the opportunity given to Polman Negeri Babell as the host of the career day event," said Made.
However, Made also said that the Polman Negeri Babel as the host certainly had many shortcomings, an apology was conveyed by the Australian doctoral graduate lecturer.
"We apologize profusely, maybe there is something less pleasing from our various services at the Polman Negeri Babel," said Made.
The Integrated Career Day activity is very good because of the collaboration and integration with each other, according to Made at this time we cannot stand alone, cannot be great alone, so integration, collaboration and joining together in sharing experiences and sharing information for a common goal are needed.
"If we can collaborate with each other, we can share with each other, God willing, all of our weaknesses will be covered and we will highlight our strengths together," said Made.
He continued, the Integrated Career Day activity also coincided with the 28th Anniversary of the National Police of Babel which had lasted one week and would be closed with a healthy walk from the academic community, alumni and students. (hms)
