BANGKA BARAT-POLMANBABEL. Three Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polmanbabel) students won brilliant achievements at the VI Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Sports Week (Porporv) in 2023 which was held on August 22-31 2023 in West Bangka Regency.
The three Polman Babel students managed to bring home one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.

A student in the same study program D4 Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Fadel Ramiro won four medals at the same time, namely three silver medals and one bronze medal in athletics in four categories of 200 meters, 400 meters, 4 times 100 meters, 4 times 400 meters.
Finally, Nova Amanda from the D4 Electronics Study Program took part in the bicycle racing category in the MTB XCR Race category, winning a bronze medal.
Deputy Director of Polman Babel, Eko Sulistyo said Polman Babel students who took part in the VI Porprov event were outstanding students at Polman Babel, who had also won medals at last year's Porseni event.
"Thank God, Polman Babel students participated in representing the district in karate, cycling and athletics," said Eko when confirmed (31/08).
He also felt proud and gave appreciation for the achievements of Polman Babel students, apart from bringing the name of the district, they could also bring Polman Babel's alma mater.
"The results of this achievement are the result of their efforts and hard work, we are also proud of their achievements, congratulations and success to Polman Babel students and students," he said.
Furthermore, students Abde Fattahwa and Fadel Ramiro will be included in the 2023 National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) championship in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan next November.
"Actually, Porprov is one of the selections for students to take part in national events such as POMNAS, because POMNAS will carry the name of the province, not universities," said Eko.
Furthermore, Polman Babel will send three students to POMNAS, namely from athletics, karate and the third from rock climbing.
Eko hopes that the results obtained by Porprov Babel will be a breath of fresh air for students who will compete at POMNAS later, hopefully the athletes can bring home medals.
