The Informatics and Business Student Association of Polman Negeri Babel Holds a Ramadan Charity Action for Orphans
The Informatics and Business Student Association (HMJ) of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held a spirit of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan. Through the Ramadan Charity Action, students held a social activity at the Polman Babel prayer room on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The event served as a moment of togetherness and a demonstration of student concern for the surrounding campus community. Dozens of orphans from the Nangnung area attended to participate in a series of activities prepared by the HMJ Informatics and Business committee.
Around 35 orphans were invited to participate in various religious and community-based activities, which they hoped would bring joy during Ramadan.

The event began with a religious sermon from Ustaz Imam Santoso, who provided motivation and moral guidance on the importance of sharing, social awareness, and the values of kindness during the holy month of Ramadan.
The atmosphere grew even more lively as the event continued with a fast-breaking meal between students and orphans, a symbol of togetherness and strengthening ties between Polman Babel students and the surrounding community.
In addition to religious and community activities, the Informatics and Business HMJ also distributes social assistance to orphans and underprivileged families around the Nangnung area as a form of student social concern.

When contacted on Monday (March 9, 2026), the Head of the Informatics and Business Student Association (HMJ), Bayu Safyndrsa, expressed his gratitude to all parties who helped organize this event, as well as to the donors who contributed so that donations could be distributed to orphans and underprivileged communities in the Nangnung area.
Bayu also explained that the total donations collected reached Rp 2,058,700, which was then distributed in the form of assistance such as basic necessities and other necessities for the orphans in attendance.
"Alhamdulillah, may those who have helped be blessed and receive abundant blessings from Allah SWT," he concluded.
He hopes that social activities like this can continue to be held in the future and involve more parties. This Ramadan's act of kindness will have a greater impact if all student organizations, student activity units (UKM), and the campus academic community can collaborate to make it a sustainable shared agenda," he concluded.
