Four Days Full of Fun, Student-E at Polman Negeri Babel Invites High School/Vocational School Students to Show Their Talents
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) is holding the Student-E event, which is a competition event for students, taking place from 14 to 17 October 2024.
This activity was attended by around 360 participants from various high schools (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK), who gathered in the campus hall to listen to the briefing from the committee.
In his speech, Somawardi, M.T., as the head of the activity, expressed his hope that this event could become a platform for students to showcase their talents and skills.
"We are very happy to see the enthusiasm of the participants, and hope they can gain valuable experience through the various competitions we provide," he said.
He added that the competitions held in this activity included indoor volleyball, sand volleyball, futsal, vocal solo, poetry, poster design, stand up comedy, table tennis, chess, badminton.

"Each competition is designed to encourage creativity and collaboration among the participants," said Somawardi. This is expected to trigger a healthy and positive competitive spirit.
Somawardi also explained the importance of this activity for the Polman Babel campus. "Activities like this are not only beneficial for students, but also improve the reputation of our campus in the eyes of the community," he said.
By involving students from various schools, Polman Babel seeks to introduce itself as an educational institution committed to developing the younger generation.
Participants who attended this event seemed very enthusiastic, with a number of activities that had been prepared, including workshops and seminars.
Apart from the competition, the committee also provided a networking session which allowed participants to interact with Polman Babel lecturers and students. "We want to bridge communication between students and the world of higher education so that they can better understand the career paths available," explained Somawardi.
Over the next four days, various competitions will take place, and the winners of each category will be announced on the last day of the event.
It is hoped that this activity will not only be a competition event, but also a valuable moment for participants to exchange ideas and experiences.
With this, Student-E is expected to have a positive impact on all participants. "We believe that every individual has potential that can be developed," concluded Somawardi.
Through this event, Polman Babel always supports education in the region, as well as being a center of inspiration for the younger generation. "This activity is expected to be a milestone for similar activities in the future," he stressed.
