Polman Babel Holds Independent Pathway UTBK Selection in 2022

SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) conducted the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) selection for new student admissions at the Polman Negeri Babel campus, Saturday 6 August 2022.
The implementation of this path selection is only carried out for one day and there is no follow-up test or selection, meaning that there is no second wave so applicants must prepare themselves individually in order to pass the Babel Polman.
This was conveyed by the head of new student admissions (PMB) Polman Babel, Somawardi said that there was only one wave of independent selection because time was limited, Polman Babel would prepare time for the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) which was planned for the end of August.
"Regarding this test, we divided three exam sessions in one day using four computer laboratories," said Somawardi, Saturday (6/8/2022).
Furthermore, Somawardi said that the registration of new students on the independent pathway this year has increased from the previous year, which was doubled from last year.
"The number of independent pathway registrants increased by more than 100% from last year, this increase occurred in line with the new study program that we opened in the independent pathway, namely the Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology study program in the Masin Engineering Department," he explained.
Soma also hopes that participants will be able to comply with the exam rules so that the exam can run smoothly, if there are things that need to be asked, they can ask the exam supervisor.
"The equipment brought during the exam is writing utensils and exam cards, things that you don't understand can ask the officers there," he added.
Currently, the National Police of Babel has opened new student admissions since January 10, 2022, by going through various admissions channels including SNMPTN, SNMPN, SBMPTN, SBMPN and most recently the MANDIRI path.
Polman Negeri Babel has seven study programs including D4 Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology, D4 Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, D4 Software Engineering Technology, D4 Electronic Engineering, D3 Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Engineering, D3 Mechanical Design Engineering, and D3 Electronics Engineering.
There is an additional quota in the independent track as of July 2022 Polman Negeri Babel already has permission from the Ministry of Education and Culture to accept the Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology study program.
Somawardi added that the announcement of the graduation of the independent UTBK selection results will be submitted on August 8, 2022 later through the Polman Babel website or at pmb.polman-babel.ac.id.
According to him, so far the process and selection of new student admissions at the Polman Babel has gone smoothly according to a predetermined schedule.
After the PMB agenda is over, the National Police of Babel will prepare activities for the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) scheduled for the third Sunday of August. (hms/or)
