Chairman of the Babel Province DPRD Supports Use of BBIS Land as a Polman Negeri Babel Campus
PEMALI-POLMANBABEL. Chairman of the DPRD of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Herman Suhadi, supports that the land of the former Central Fish Seed Center (BBIS) of Babel Province which is located in Tutut hamlet, Penyamun Village, is used for education.
The development and land utilization plan will be submitted to the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel).
During his visit to the BBIS location in Tutut Hamlet, Penyamun Village, Pemali District, Thursday, October 19 2023, Herman said that the DPRD supports the plan to transfer these assets from the Provincial Government to the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Babel State Police.
"I have seen this location at BBIS, that the Polman Babel plans to use this location for the Precision Agriculture and Fisheries Study Program," said Herman (19/10).
"I personally support the development of education in Babel, especially in Bangka Regency," he added.
This politician from PDI Perjuangan also explained that the process of transferring assets or grants was still being processed at the DPRD.
In essence, the Babel Provincial Government and DPRD can agree if all regulations governing asset grants have been followed in accordance with existing regulations.
"Don't let us make a mistake and violate the rules that apply to the handover of these assets," said Herman.
Currently, the Bangka Belitung Islands Province DPRD will discuss this matter in the Bamus, then also discuss it in the Plenary Session.
"After being approved in a plenary meeting at the provincial DPRD, the process of handing over the assets can then be carried out by the Provincial Government with Polmanbabel," said Herman.
"Just pray that everything goes smoothly, and our intention is for this education to be a blessing, this is solely for our children and grandchildren in the future," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Polman Babel welcomed the visit of the chairman of the Babel Province DPRD to the BBIS location.
He hopes that all administration regarding the BBIS land grant will run smoothly and will be supported by all parties.
He continued, the Polman Babel is committed to managing the former BBIS land for education and making it a second campus.
"Thank God, currently the Polman Babel has received permission to establish the Precision Agriculture Study Program. God willing, next year the process of accepting new students for this study program will be ready," he said.
"Later, other study programs will follow, such as digital business, fisheries technology and others, but this development requires support from the district government or provincial government," he added.
He also revealed that the BBIS location will be used as the second campus of the BPolman Babel, which will be filled with Precision Agriculture and Fisheries Technology Study Programs.
