During a Preaching Safari in Polman, Babel State, Ustadz Zacky Mirza Invites Campus Community to Get Closer to the Qur'an
The participants were seen listening to Ustadz Zacky Mirza's sermon during the Safari Dakwah activity in Polman, Babel State, which carried the spirit of building love for the Qur'an.
The State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel), the best university in Bangka Belitung, presented positive and inspiring activities for the academic community during a "Da'wah Safari" visit by the Riau Indonesia Mengaji Community and the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) of Bangka Induk, themed "Waqf One Family One Qur'an." The event was held at the Polman Babel Hall on Friday (May 8, 2026).
The event was attended by campus staff, from lecturers and educational staff to students. The hall was filled to participate in the da'wah series, which featured Ustadz Zacky Mirza as the speaker.
Without delay, Ustadz Zacky Mirza immediately delivered the main topic on the importance of the "Waqf One Family One Qur'an" movement. In his presentation, he encouraged all participants to make the Qur'an a guide for life and a continuous charity that continues to bring rewards.
He explained that the Quran waqf has a noble goal: to help people in need of a legible copy, especially in areas with limited religious education facilities. According to him, a single Quran donated can be a continuous path to reward.
"Through this movement, we want every family to have the opportunity to donate a Quran. It's not just about giving, but also about providing lasting benefits for the community," he added.
The atmosphere became even more engaging when Ustadz Zacky Mirza delivered the material in a relaxed, simple, yet meaningful style. He occasionally interjected stories from everyday life that made the audience laugh and reflect. His lighthearted delivery made the material easy for both students and campus staff to understand.
"In addition to preaching, this activity included an invitation to strengthen the habit of reading the Quran in daily life by setting aside a few minutes each day to read and understand its meaning, even amidst the busyness of college, work, and daily routines. The Quran must remain a guide to life, able to calm the heart, improve morals, and be a light in living life," he explained.
Meanwhile, when interviewed after the activity, one of the Polman Babel students, Aldo, expressed his joy at participating in the preaching safari because he found the material very relevant to the lives of young people and easy to understand.
"I really liked the material presented by Ustadz Zacky Mirza. His delivery was simple and concise, yet easy to understand. This motivated us to draw closer to the Quran," Aldo said.
