SMA Negeri 2 Toboali, Visits the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic as part of a Study Tour
Full of passion and enthusiasm, students and teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Toboali together with representatives of Polman Babel captured precious moments, a symbol of the beginning of the journey towards big dreams.
SMA Negeri 2 Toboali, which is located in South Bangka Regency, visited the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic Campus (Polman Babel), Thursday (21/11/2024).
This visit was part of the Study Tour activities which were attended by 196 class XII students and 46 teachers. This activity aims to provide students with deeper insight and understanding about the world of lectures and campus life.
The activity, which was held in the Polman Babel Hall, began with a warm welcome from the campus. The group of teachers from SMA Negeri 2 Toboali expressed their gratitude for the opportunity given to their school to visit the campus which has a good reputation in the field of vocational education.
"He stated that this activity is important so that students can see firsthand the atmosphere of the campus and find out about the various study programs that exist," he added.
On that occasion, students also received information about the study programs offered by Polman Babel. "Juanda, M.T., one of the representatives of Polman Babel, gave an explanation regarding the various majors available on the campus," he said.
"By explaining in detail about majors that focus on the world of manufacturing, engineering, as well as various supporting facilities available to students," he explained.
Juanda revealed that Polman Babel has various superior programs that students can take part in, including extracurricular activities such as the Student Activity Unit (UKM) which allows students to develop skills and interests outside of academic activities. "Apart from that, the facilities on this campus are also very adequate to support the teaching and learning process," he said.
"The students of SMA Negeri 2 Toboali who attended today are expected to get a clear picture of life on campus. "Not only in the academic aspect, but also social activities and self-development through UKM and other student organizations," said Juanda.
Furthermore, Juanda hopes that students can take advantage of this opportunity to gain as much information as possible about the world of college and the importance of thorough preparation before entering college, both from an academic and mental perspective.
Principal of SMA Negeri 2 Toboali, Rosmegawati, S.Si, in his speech also emphasized how important it is for students to know about various career options and educational paths after graduating from high school. Activities like this can open students' horizons, especially regarding universities that offer vocational education. which is practical and relevant to industry needs," he said.
“I really support this activity, because it can provide a broader perspective to our children. "By seeing Polman Babel directly, they can better understand what they need to continue their education at university," explained Rosmegawati.
This visit is also a good momentum for students to build their dreams. "Most students hope to continue their education at Polman Babel for various reasons, including complete facilities, study programs that are relevant to their interests, as well as the opportunity to work in the fast-growing industry in Bangka Belitung," he explained.
