Celebrating the 29th Anniversary, Babel State Police will continue to develop in response to technological challenges

SUNGAILIAT-POLMANBABEL. One of the important events for universities is celebrating the college's birthday which marks the beginning of the educational institution's journey which is often called Dies Natalis.
For universities, the anniversary has an important meaning, because it is not only a sign of increasing age, but also a mark of maturity in work, and is an opportunity to strengthen commitment to change for the progress of the university.
Likewise, Vocational Universities such as the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polmanbabel), are also celebrating their 29th anniversary, right on Wednesday, 18 October 2023 at the Polman Babel campus.
The lively Polman Babel Anniversary celebration was filled with various activities for the entire Polman Babel academic community.
It started with a healthy walking activity which was attended by hundreds of participants from the Polman Babel academic community with a route from Polmanbabel via the main road, heading to Nangnung, then finishing at the Polman Babel campus.
The next activity was the distribution of door prizes, a leisurely walk, health checks from the Sungailiat Community Health Center and blood donations from PMI.
The highlight of the event was the cutting of the tumpeng by the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, who was accompanied by the deputy director and elders of Polman Babel.
"Polman Babel is now 29 years old, starting from its founding in 1994, which at that time was still called Polman Timah," said I Made Andik Setiawan in his speech (18/10).
He also told the history of Polman Babel starting from its founding, when it became a country and until now which has thousands of students.
"It's time for us to develop, it's time to become big, we have done several things to continue to develop," he said.
"One of them has been the addition of a new study program, namely precision agriculture, and later the digital business study program will follow," he continued.

Made also hopes that this Dies Natalis moment will make Polmanbabel better able to answer future technological challenges.
Furthermore, the afternoon of the Anniversary was filled with public lecture activities by the Regent of Central Bangka, Algafri Rahman as well as the signing of the MoU for Polman Babel with the Central Bangka Regency Government.
The public lecture material presented by the Regent of Bateng was regarding the role of vocational students in the use of applied technology in Central Bangka.
Algafri also hopes that Polman Babel students can innovate in technology that can be used in development in Central Bangka.
The signing of the MoU is a form of cooperation between vocational universities and local governments in implementing the tridharma of higher education.
The end of the Dies Natalis activities were held with a talk agenda from Polman Babel alumni from various classes coordinated by BEM Polman Babel.
The 29th Anniversary was also enlivened by various MSME bazaars which took place for five days at the Polman Babel integrated campus.
Previously, student E activities were also carried out for SMA/SMK/equivalent students throughout Babel which included various competitions starting on October 16 and will continue until Friday, October 20 2023.
Meanwhile, the peak of Polmanbabel's Dies Natalis will be on October 18 2023, the exact anniversary of Polman Timah (ed. first) in 1994.
