A lecturer from the National Polytechnic of Babel State University (Polman Negeri Babel) serves as a resource person at a Coding and AI workshop for informatics teachers.
Lecturers from the Software Engineering Technology Study Program at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic, a leading university in the region, served as speakers at the Low-Code Coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop at the Educational Information and Communication Technology Center (BTIKP) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Education Office on May 20–22, 2026.
The event featured lecturers from the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic, Riky Afriansyah, M.T., and Linda Fujiyanti, M.T.I., and was attended by 24 Informatics teachers from public and private high schools in Bangka Belitung.
When contacted for confirmation on Monday (May 25, 2026), Riky Afriansyah, M.T., explained that the Low-Code Coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) material presented to high school teachers in the ICT field is highly relevant to current educational needs. "And provide an understanding of coding and its application in education, thereby supporting a learning process that is more adaptive to the development of digital technology in schools," he explained.

Riki explained that utilizing low-code technology is one solution for faster, easier, and more efficient application development, especially for educators who want to create digital-based learning innovations.
"Through this workshop, teachers gained new insights regarding the use of low-code platforms to build applications without the need for complex coding, while also understanding the use of AI in education and information technology," he concluded.
He continued, "We hope this activity will have a positive impact on improving the competency of Informatics teachers and encouraging the emergence of technology-based learning innovations in the school environment."

Meanwhile, another lecturer at Polman Negeri Babel, Linda Fujiyanti, M.T.I., said that the high turnout during the workshop was evident from the teachers' active participation in discussions, practical exercises, and Q&A sessions.
Linda explained that the rapid development of technology requires teachers to continuously update their knowledge and skills to keep up with the learning needs of the digital era.
"Teachers must always stay up-to-date with technological developments because the knowledge they impart to students remains relevant, applicable, and in line with today's global challenges," she explained.

Furthermore, the results of the workshop are one of the efforts to strengthen the capacity of Informatics teachers in Bangka Belitung, as well as the role of Polman Negeri Babel in supporting technology-based educational transformation in the school environment," he concluded.
