Polman Negeri Babel Becomes Host for PLN Mobile Socialization
Manager of PLN ULP Sungailiat, Reza Utama Putra, symbolically handed over a souvenir to Deputy Director III of Polman Negeri Babel, Eko Sulistyo, M.T., as a form of appreciation for the cooperation and support in organizing the PLN Goes to Campus activity.
The academic community of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) enthusiastically participated in the "PLN Goes to Campus" activity held at the Campus Hall Building, Wednesday (05/21/2025).
This activity is a form of collaboration between the world of education and PLN in introducing the digital transformation of electricity services to the younger generation.
This event is a means of socializing the PLN Mobile application, a digital platform designed to make it easier for the public to access various electricity services. Polman Babel students and lecturers seemed enthusiastic in listening to the presentation of the material, reflecting the campus's enthusiasm in supporting the use of information technology in the energy sector.
Deputy Director III of Polman Babel, Eko Sulistyo, M.T., in his remarks welcomed this activity and hoped that students would be able to become agents of change in the use of efficient and modern electricity technology. "This kind of collaboration opens up new insights for students to understand the importance of digitalization in the public sector," he said.
Furthermore, Eko also emphasized the importance of awareness of energy efficiency and the role of students as the younger generation in supporting government programs towards sustainable energy.
Meanwhile, Reza Utama Putra, Manager of PLN ULP Sungailiat, explained that PLN Mobile is PLN's real step in providing convenience and speed of service to customers.
"All types of customer needs can be accessed through one application, starting from new installations, power changes, to bill payments," he explained.
Reza also added that superior features such as temporary installations, purchasing electricity tokens, to EV charging services for electric vehicles are now available and continue to be developed through the application and customers can enjoy the service without having to come to the office," he said.
On that occasion, Reza also informed that there was a special promo in the form of a 50% discount for power change services in order to commemorate National Awakening Day. This promo is valid from 10 to 23 May 2025 on condition that transactions are made through PLN Mobile," he said.
With the presence of PLN on campus, students not only gain new insights into electrical technology, but also motivation to be more aware of developing digital innovations. "The active interaction between students and speakers is also proof of the success of this activity in reaching the younger generation," he said.
