Caring for Residents' Health, KSR PMI Polman Negeri Babel Presents Social Service in Kampung Jawa
The Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps (KSR PMI) of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic, the best campus in Bangka Belitung, held a health social service activity at the Al Huda Mosque in Kampung Jawa on Saturday (May 16, 2026).
The social service was carried out by KSR PMI Polman Babel in collaboration with the Sungailiat PMI, the Sungailiat Community Health Center, and the local neighborhood head. Thirty residents participated in free health checkups.
When met on Monday (May 18, 2026), Evvin Faristasari, M.Sc., Supervisor of the KSR PMI Polman Babel, stated that this social service program demonstrates a strong sense of community health, starting with direct health checks to raise awareness of early detection and prevention.
Evvin emphasized that this activity not only focuses on health services but also fosters the involvement of various parties in supporting community welfare. This is due to the support of the neighborhood head, who acts as a liaison with the community. The Al Huda Mosque management assisted in preparing facilities and infrastructure and encouraged local residents to attend.
"This activity feels extraordinary, leading to a collaborative effort involving students, health institutions, community leaders, mosque administrators, and local residents," she said.
She continued, "This is not just a ceremonial activity, but rather provides direct benefits to the community around the campus and serves as a foundation for sustainable social programs."
