After Interning at a Company, Polman Negeri Babel Students Attend an Internship Report Hearing
After completing their Internship Program (PKL) at various companies, students at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) participated in an Internship Report Hearing held on Wednesday (January 14, 2026) to evaluate and demonstrate their academic accountability after entering the industrial world.
Approximately 90 students from three Diploma III study programs: Electronics, Mechanical Design Engineering, and Machine Maintenance and Repair Engineering participated in the internship report hearing.
The students presented their internship findings, work experiences, and the application of competencies acquired during their time at partner companies. The hearing proceeded in an orderly and scheduled manner, with the participation of examiners from each study program. Each student was tested not only on their written report but also on their analytical skills, understanding of industrial work processes, and professionalism demonstrated during the internship.

The Head of the Academic Support Unit for Career Development and Entrepreneurship at Polman Babel, Harwadi, S.S.T., M.Ed., explained that internship report hearings play a strategic role in the vocational learning process, as they assess students' ability to translate the knowledge and experience gained during their internship into a systematic academic report.
He also noted that Diploma III students, even though their internship has ended, are not fully completed. Students must still focus on completing their final project as a graduation requirement.
"Diploma III students cannot relax because they still have their final project to complete. This internship is an important part of their preparation for that," he said.
Harwadi hopes that students will not only focus on grades but will also truly absorb knowledge, insights, and work experience relevant to industry needs," he concluded.
