Early Disease Detection: State Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung Employees Undergo Free Health Screening
Demonstrating a commitment to employee health, the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) participated in a free health screening event conducted by the Sungailiat Community Health Center (Puskesmas) at the Polman Negeri Babel Hall on Monday (July 27, 2026).
All Polman Negeri Babel employees participated in this free health screening to raise health awareness, maintain well-being, and facilitate the early detection of potential health risks.
Fenty Anriyani, SKM, MKM, a staff member from the Sungailiat Community Health Center, noted the positive response from the campus staff. "Employees flocked to undergo the health checks; there was no coercion—everything was done voluntarily. Ideally, health screenings like this should be conducted twice a year," she explained.

Fenty detailed that the screenings included measurements of height and weight, as well as checks for blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. In addition to the examinations, health workers provided education to participants regarding any health conditions identified during the screening that required attention.
Routine health check-ups are crucial for the early detection of various diseases; by identifying health conditions early, individuals can promptly make lifestyle changes or receive appropriate medical treatment.
"If screening results reveal a condition requiring further examination or treatment, participants can be referred to the Sungailiat Community Health Center (Puskesmas) or the nearest hospital, depending on their medical needs," he stated.

Meanwhile, Aguswanto, an employee at Polman Negeri Babel, expressed satisfaction with the free health check-up initiative, noting that it made it easy for staff to assess their health status and consult directly with healthcare professionals.
"This free health screening program is expected to raise health awareness among all Polman Negeri Babel employees and encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle—including regular check-ups—to maintain physical fitness and support productivity in their daily campus activities," he concluded.
