At the 80th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony, Polman Negeri Babel Unites in the Spirit of Moving Forward
Despite falling on a holiday, the 80th Indonesian Independence Day proclamation ceremony at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) proceeded in a lively, safe, orderly, and smooth manner. The event took place inside the campus auditorium on Sunday (August 17, 2025).
The ceremony began promptly at 8:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), with Polman Babel Director, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., acting as the master of ceremonies. The ceremony was led by officers from the campus security unit, while participants included all academics, including lecturers and administrative staff.
In his address, Polman Babel Director, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., outlined several achievements and strategic goals for the campus. "Some of these include preparation for becoming a Public Service Agency (BLU), achieving international excellence in accreditation, building a new campus, achieving professorships, and even achieving a Fair Without Exception (WTP) financial report," he explained.
According to I Made, the various efforts being undertaken by Polman Babel represent a shared responsibility in building an increasingly superior and competitive educational institution, where every challenge must be met with hard work.
"There is no success without hard work. The results we have achieved today are the fruit of a long, hard-fought process. Therefore, we must continue to work responsibly," he said.

On that occasion, I Made also touched on the dynamics of financial efficiency resulting from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology's policies. Although this has impacted several programs, Polman Babel is committed to maintaining the quality of education and services.
"Efficiency does have an impact, but we must be able to address it with intelligent and measured steps. Polman Babel must not stop developing," he added.
Furthermore, I Made emphasized the importance of students as the center of all academic activities. According to him, Polman Babel's success is measured not only by institutional achievements, but also by the achievements, creativity, and contributions of students.
"Our target is to increase the number of students and achieve as much as possible. That is the true manifestation of success for Polman Babel," he emphasized.
