ARUNIKA Celebrates the 15th Anniversary of Polman Negeri Babel Arts UKM, Uniting Work and Culture

The Arts Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel) celebrated its 15th anniversary with a program titled Arah Ruang Ungkapan Karya (ARUNIKA) at the Joint Lecture Building on Friday (December 19, 2025). This program served as a stage for artistic expression and a cross-campus meeting space brimming with creative and cultural significance.
The anniversary celebration was lively, featuring various art performances from the Polman Babel Arts Student Activity Unit (UKM Seni Polman Babel) and participation from other universities, including the Arts Student Activity Unit of the University of Bangka Belitung (UBB), ATMA Luhur, and IAIN. This collaboration enriched the diversity of works and expanded the network among student arts communities.
ARUNIKA not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform for the actualization of the ideas, concepts, and artistic identities of the younger generation. Each performance reflected the character, values, and artistic spirit that thrives within their respective campuses.
The head of the Polman Babel Arts Student Activity Unit (UKM Seni), Muhammad Khoirul Arifin, stated on Monday (December 22, 2025) that the commemoration of its 15th anniversary is expected to strengthen the Arts Student Activity Unit and strengthen each other. "Not only during major events like the anniversary, but also in every process, dynamic, and journey of the organization going forward," he explained.
He emphasized that the Polman Babel Arts Student Activity Unit's slogan "smart and cultured" is not just a slogan, but rather a value that must be embodied in daily life. "Smart," he said, "is not only about artistic creativity, but also the ability to behave, make decisions, and resolve differences with a cool head."
Meanwhile, "cultured" is defined as the ability to maintain ethics, manners, mutual respect, and a sense of family in every interaction, both among members and with external parties. "These values are expected to become a strong foundation for the organization," he added.
Khoirul also viewed the 15th anniversary as a moment for collective reflection and evaluation. He acknowledged that there are still shortcomings that need to be addressed, while also recognizing that it is the collective responsibility of all members to continue learning and developing.
"Hopefully, in the future, the Arts Student Activity Unit will become more mature in its organization, stronger in its togetherness, and able to become a comfortable, productive, and proud forum for all its members," he concluded.
At the same time, the Advisor of the Polman Babel Arts Student Activity Unit, Subkhan, M.T., explained that ARUNIKA activities provide a learning space for students to express their art while simultaneously building character, cooperation, and social sensitivity through their work," he said.
In this regard, Subkhan stated that the Arts Student Activity Unit plays a strategic role in maintaining the cultural identity of the campus and the region. He hopes that the spirit of cross-university collaboration within ARUNIKA will continue, so that the Polman Babel Arts Student Activity Unit can produce works that are valuable, have character, and have a positive impact on the wider community," he emphasized.
