Student Organization Leadership Transition at Polman Negeri Babel Continues; New Student Organization and Club Officials Must Uphold Discipline and Unity
The handover of office for the leadership of Student Organizations (Ormawa) and Student Activity Units (UKM) at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) for the 2026/2027 term took place in the Hall on Monday (July 27, 2026).
The ceremony involved 20 student organizations that serve as platforms for developing interests, talents, creativity, and leadership, as well as facilitating various student activities at the institution.
Representing the Deputy Director III of Polman Negeri Babel, the Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Division, Somawardi, M.T., expressed his gratitude to the outgoing board members for fulfilling their duties and contributing to the vitality of student organization activities on campus.

As for the new leadership, they are expected to carry out their mandate with enthusiasm, strive to improve the organizations beyond the achievements of the previous term, and be capable of continuing positive programs while introducing new innovations that benefit the students," he added.
"This change in leadership marks the beginning of new responsibilities for the students entrusted with steering the organizations on campus," he stated.

One key aspect that organization administrators must focus on is discipline in managing every activity; planned agendas require thorough preparation and careful planning to ensure they are executed according to schedule," he explained.
"Beyond discipline, Somawardi emphasized the importance of fostering harmonious relationships among administrators and across organizations. He noted that differences of opinion within an organization are natural, and thus, students are expected to respect one another and prioritize communication when making decisions," he asserted.

When contacted on Tuesday (July 28, 2026), Yuda—an administrator from the previous Student Executive Board (BEM) term—commented that the handover ceremony for student organizations and activity units (UKM) is not merely a ceremonial event; rather, it represents a crucial moment in the transfer of leadership and the passing of responsibilities from the outgoing administration to the incoming one," he concluded.
"Moving forward, the 2026/2027 administration of these student organizations and activity units can carry out their mandate with unity, innovation, and a sense of responsibility. Driven by a spirit of togetherness, these student organizations can thrive and make positive contributions to the advancement of student activities, ultimately benefiting the entire student body of Polman Negeri Babel," he emphasized.
