Mahacita Polman Negeri Babel Returns Home as Champion from UBB Cross Country Event
Students from the Mahacita Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) achieved impressive results in a cross-country competition held on the Bangka Belitung University (UBB) campus on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Themed "Tracing Nature's Footsteps Towards a Civilized Campus," the event was held to raise awareness and concern for nature and the campus environment through challenging cross-country activities.
In the competition, the Mahacita Polman Babel team won various categories. In the women's general category, first place went to the team consisting of Bening Octavia Rahmadani, Nur Affifah Febrianti, Naila Salsabila Ramadhani, and Elsa Anggraini.
Furthermore, another Polman Babel team, consisting of Debbyka Az Zahra, Fhagita Savitri, Rahma, and Denisa Dwi Cahyani, also won third place in the women's general category. This achievement demonstrates the consistency of Polman Babel students in achieving the best results.
Meanwhile, in the men's general category, Polman Babel students also performed brilliantly. Second place went to the team of Soni Afriansyah, Kemas Farli Bagas Pratama, Muhammad Apriansyah Saputra, and Detris Saputra.
As for the men's overall third place, the team consisting of Reynaldo Desky Anjaya, Akbar Nopriafi, Risky Saputra, and Fahrezi Riofalta also contributed to the achievement, confirming Polman Babel's dominance in the cross-country event.
Pristiansyah, M.Eng., as the advisor of the Mahacita Polman Babel student unit, expressed his pride in the achievements of his students on Monday (September 29, 2025). "This achievement is clear proof that fighting spirit, teamwork, and a love of nature can produce proud results," he concluded.
He added that this victory is not just about the trophy or award, but also about the learning process the students go through during training and competition.
"Hopefully, this experience will serve as a foundation for continued achievement, both in academic and non-academic fields," he said.
He continued, "We hope Mahacita Polman Babel's success in this cross-country event will motivate other students to be more active in organizations, love the environment, and continue to bring good name to the university in various competitions," Pristiansyah emphasized.
