28th Anniversary of Polman Babel, Director Invites Together Towards Autonomy

SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) commemorates the 28th Anniversary which coincides on October 18, 2022, filled with the Director's speech and a series of agendas to enliven Polman Timah's birthday (formerly).
At the age of teenagers growing up, Polman Negeri Babel which was established in 1994 will continue to develop towards independence and continue to answer the challenges of today's technological developments.
The foundations that have been built by the founder of Polman Negeri Babel (red: Polman Timah) have answered many challenges and problems from time to time by creating alumni who work for the region and the nation.
This was conveyed by the Director of the Polman Negeri Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D in his oration during the peak event of the Dies Natalis of the Polman Negeri Babel, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Hall of Polman Negeri Babel.
He also expressed his gratitude to the previous people who had built the Polman Negeri Babel, from the previous leaders in managing and organizing the Polman Negeri Babel to what it is today.
In addition, in a speech in front of the employees, lecturers, and education staff, Made told the journey of the Polman Negeri Babel from 1994 with the various leadership styles of the leaders who occupied the Polman Negeri Babel, with the same vision, namely making the Polman Negeri Babel continue to develop and be independent.
Regarding independence, the Director who graduated from the Australian Doctoral Program invites all academics to be ready to face the challenges ahead, namely the challenges faced are autonomy, autonomous independence.
"The challenges that will come are autonomy, autonomy in independence," said Made (18/10).
"We must be ready and able to face the challenges that exist, the key is the will together," he added.
He said that currently the Polman Negeri Babel is only a work unit or satker from the ministry which means only an implementing unit from the ministry, while in the future the ministry has given a signal to develop educational institutions into independent institutions, which can be in the form of Public Service Agencies (BLU) or universities. State Legal Entity (PTN BH).
"There are 2 autonomy in higher education, namely BLU and PTNBH, we must set goals and visions for the future to become autonomous independently selected," said Made.
In responding to and preparing for the autonomous higher education in question, it takes a lot of resources that must be prepared from now on, including human resources and infrastructure.
Made said that currently the Polman Negeri Babel continues to develop infrastructure facilities at the Polman Negeri Babel to support the activities of the tridharma of higher education and also develop the quality and quantity of human resources in accordance with current and future needs.
"If it is measured by the size of the university, we are still young at the age of 28 years, but if it is measured in terms of human age, we are already growing adults who are ready for independence and development," he concluded.
On the same occasion, the chief executive of the 2022 Polman Negeri Babel Police Anniversary, Somawardi, M.T said that this year's Dies Natalis activity was carried out by various activities including the implementation of Student E, public lectures on student career development, socialization of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS), Fun Games , the agenda for the 2022 MGBK integrated career day and the activities of the Polman Negeri Babel alumni.
"In one week, the Polman Negeri Babel carried out a series of activities to welcome the 28th anniversary," said Somawardi in his speech.
Somawardi added that the implementation of Student E Polman Negeri Babel is routinely carried out every year, but due to the pandemic the activity was stopped for approximately two years, then coincided with the birthday of the Polman Negeri Babel.
Various Student E competitions include photo on the spot, English speech contest, mural competition, talent show, appropriate innovation product competition, Malay song festival, quizzes, e-sports, fun climbing.
He continued, student career development activities on Wednesday, the agenda of the 2022 MGBK integrated career day on Friday - Saturday then closed with the activities of the Polman Negeri Babel alumni in the form of a leisurely walk for the academic community, the alumni of the Polman Negeri Babel on the coming Saturday.
The ceremonial anniversary of the Polman Negeri Babel was carried out by cutting the cone by the Director of the Polman Negeri Babel accompanied by the chief executive, senior employees and Plt. Director of Polman Timah for the period 2003 – 2004 Ir. Hariyanto.
The activity was also enlivened by a fun game of water relay competition for the Polman Negeri Babel employees after the socialization of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) for students and closed with a friendly open house for the academic community. hms
