Regional Working Meeting V of PERMIKOMNAS, Polman Negeri Babel Encourages the Revival of the South Sumatra Babel Informatics Student Organization
The Informatics and Business Student Association (HMJ) of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) participated in the 5th Regional Working Meeting (Rakerwil) of the National Informatics and Computer Science Student Association (PERMIKOMNAS) Region 3, held on December 19–21, 2025, at Baturaja University.
This prestigious regional event provided a strategic opportunity for informatics and computer science students to formulate the organization's direction and strengthen inter-campus networks in the South Sumatra–Bangka Belitung (Sumsel Babel) region.

In addition to Polman Babel, the Rakerwil was also attended by several other universities, including Muhammadiyah University, Bina Darma University, UIN Palembang, and Baturaja University, the host university.
The presence of these diverse campuses demonstrated the strong spirit of student collaboration in building an active, inclusive, and impactful student organization ecosystem for human resource development in the fields of informatics and computer science.
Bayu Safyndra, Head of the Informatics and Business Student Association (HMJ) of Polman Babel, stated on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) that this activity was crucial to revitalize the PERMIKOMNAS Region 3 organization, which had been dormant for some time.
"The reactivation of PERMIKOMNAS Region 3 is not just an organizational agenda, but also a strategic step in sustainably encouraging the advancement of informatics and computer science students in the South Sumatra-Babel region," he said.

Bayu believes this organization has great potential as a platform for developing student competencies, both in academics, leadership, technological innovation, and real contributions to society.
"After being reactivated, all planned work programs are expected to be implemented effectively to positively impact the progress of the South Sumatra-Babel region," he explained.
Through this Regional Working Meeting, the Informatics and Business Student Association (HMJ) of Polman Babel hopes to continue actively contributing to PERMIKOMNAS, while also expanding their network, strengthening synergy between campuses, and developing collaborative programs relevant to technological developments and regional needs," he concluded.
