TRPL Student Final Project to Develop a Management Information System at the Babel Psychiatric Hospital
SUNGAILIAT - POLMANBABEL. Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) students of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) developed an MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) Test Registration Information System at the Mental Hospital (RSJ) of Bangka Belitung Province.
This activity is the final project of Polman Babel students for the development of a digitization system in government agencies.
This project was carried out a few months ago, but for outreach to partners the RSJ Babel was held last Friday, 13 January 2023 at the Babel Sungailiat Hospital which was attended directly by the Director of the RSJ Babel accompanied by structural officials and staff.
Riki Afriansyah as the supervisor of the final project said that this activity seeks to develop regional progress by holding digitalization in several government agencies such as mental hospitals.
"For this RSJ, the project being offered is the MMPI test management information system developed by our student, Embun Ventani as the final project for her graduation," said Riki (16/01).
Riki added that the purpose of creating this system was because registration for the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) test still did not use an information system, which led to certain problems such as data accumulation that was difficult to monitor.
"The problem with partners or RSJ is that registration for the MMPI test is still manual, so an information system is needed so that the registration process is faster, stored in the system accurately," said Riki.
The TRPL lecturer and also the head of the Polman Babel Information System Unit said the hospital appreciated the system that was built and would cooperate with Polman Babel to continue other IT developments.
"Hopefully the RSJ can be assisted in managing services digitally, facilitating faster service, and implementing paperless," he hoped.
Riki revealed that the continuation of the collaboration was very possible because as an educational institution, lecturers were required to carry out the tridharma of higher education in terms of research and community service.
The Director of the Babel Mental Hospital (RSJ), doctor Ria Agustin welcomed the results of the Polman Babel student and lecturer project. This is an interesting development because currently the mental hospital is starting to develop digitization to increase competitiveness with other hospitals. (hms).
