SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) held the XXVI annual graduation agenda followed by 300 graduates at the Babel State Police Hall, Wednesday (14/09/2022).
This graduation activity was carried out in two sessions, namely the first session in the morning for 125 graduates of the Diploma four (D4) program of Applied Graduates and the second session in the afternoon for graduates of the Diploma three (D3) study program with a total of 175 graduates.
Of the 300 graduates, 34 received honors with honors including 6 graduates from the D4 Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology Study Program, 37 graduates from the D4 Electronics Engineering Study Program, 9 graduates from the D4 Software Engineering Technology Study Program and 5 graduates from the D3 Electronics Engineering.
In addition, a number of 32 graduates of the Polman Negeri Babel in 2022, before attending the graduation, had been asked by several companies through campus hiring activities some time ago.
The Director of the Polman Negeri Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan said that this year the Polman Negeri Babel held a graduation with a large number of graduates from the previous year, so that it was carried out in two sessions of this solemn process.
"Today the Polman Negeri Babel inaugurated 300 people from the D4 and D3 Study Programs, 32 of whom have been accepted for work in the company with the results of campus recruitment through campus hiring activities," said Made (14/9).
He said the Polman Negeri Babel was not only equipped with technological skills as evidenced by the value on the diploma, but also equipped with a competency certificate issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) which is valid nationally.
He continued, diplomas are the result of the education and teaching process, but certification is the result of competency tests in certain fields.
"Hopefully all graduates and alumni of the Polman Negeri Babel have more complete provisions, like 1 weapon with 2 swords," said Andik Setiawan.
He said that in 2022, 11 companies came and communicated to recruit alumni and prospective graduates.
"As a result, dozens of alumni have been recruited, including 32 graduates who graduated today," said Andik Setiawan.
He reminded that graduation is not the end, but rather a gateway to independence for graduates.
"Independence is not only a matter of rights, but rather responsibilities, namely to oneself, family, community, nation and state," said Andik Setiawan.
This session 1 activity was attended by the Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung represented by Assistant 3 of the Regional Secretariat of Bangka Belitung Yunan Helmi, representatives of the UBB Chancellor, PT Timah, PT Artamedia Indonesia, BSI Sungailiat Branch, BNI Sungailiat Branch, PT. Bangka Media Graphics, Pt. Sinar Baturusa Prima and other invited guests.
While the second session was attended by the Regent of Bangka represented by Assistant 3 of the Regional Secretariat of Bangka Regency H. Akhmad Mukhsin, Deputy Chancellor III of IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung, Representatives of PT. DAK, Sungailiat Koramil, BRI Sungailiat Branch, PT. Mount Maras Lestari Prima and other invited guests.
Several graduates also won awards from the category of best discipline graduates, highest GPA graduates.
