Babel State Polman Team Shows Strength at National Welding Competition 2024, Shocking Achievement in Prestigious Category
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic Team celebrates winning the 2024 National Welding Competition (NWC) held at Batam Polytechnic
The team from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) succeeded in stealing attention in the prestigious National Welding Competition (NWC) 2024, which was held at the Batam Polytechnic on 4-9 August 2024. This competition was attended by various universities and educational institutions from all over Indonesia, making it one of the most prestigious events in the world of welding.
Competing at Batam Polytechnic, the Polman Babel team showed extraordinary abilities, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of welding. Their impressive performance brought home various proud achievements.
The 2024 NWC competition was attended by enthusiastic participants, competing amidst a fierce competitive atmosphere. The event brings together top talent from across the country, all seeking to prove their skills in various welding categories. This competition not only demands high technical skills but also a winning mentality.
In this event, Polman Babel students won various awards. Shirkan Andiq won 1st place in the SMAW Pipe 6G category, proving his extraordinary skills in pipe welding techniques. Apart from that, Rifki Oktariandi also made the campus proud by winning 1st place in the SMAW Plate 2G category.
Another brilliant achievement was achieved by Sandika Yudha Pirmansyah who won 1st place in the SMAW Plate 3G category. Not to forget, Alfian also presented victory by winning 1st place in the GMAW Plate 3G category.
One of the Polman Babel officials, who was met on Tuesday (13/08/2024), Sugiyarto., M.T. said that this success was clear evidence of the dedication and hard work of Polman Babel students, as well as full support from the campus in developing students' potential in the field of welding.
"With these results, Polman Babel's position has become stronger as one of the leading educational institutions in the field of engineering and welding at the national level," he said.
This success certainly did not come easily. Before leaving for Batam Polytechnic, the participants had spent months training intensively. Under the guidance of dedicated lecturers and instructors, they face a variety of simulations designed to mimic real competition conditions.
"We prepared ourselves very seriously. Every detail, every movement, everything was trained with full focus," said one of the team's supervisors.
The most exciting moment occurred when Alfian succeeded in completing the most difficult final challenge in this competition. With extraordinary composure, he put on a performance that amazed the judges and the audience in awe.
"This is an experience that I will never forget. Every second feels so meaningful, and I am very grateful to be able to represent Polman Babel here," said Alfian gratefully.
With the achievements they had achieved, the Polman Babel team went home with their heads held high and full of pride. They not only brought home medals, but also valuable experience that will be a provision for the future.
"We hope that this is only the beginning of many other achievements that we will achieve. We will continue to train and try to be the best at every opportunity," concluded Alfian.
