Babel State Polman Holds Internship Training, Equipping Students with Ethics and Work Readiness
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) continues to equip students with skills and understanding of the world of work. One of them is through internship preparation training activities held by the Internship Commission Team in the Campus Hall on Friday (10/01/2025).
This activity was attended by 150 students from the D-IV Software Engineering, D-IV Electronics Engineering, and D-IV Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering study programs. The aim is to provide an in-depth understanding of the preparations required before undergoing an internship at a company.
In this socialization, the Internship Commission Team presented Zanu Saputra, M.Tr.T. and Juanda, M.T., as well as an inspirational resource person, Gusti, who is the GM of PT. DAK and Polman Babel alumni. His presence provides real insight for students regarding internship experiences and the world of work.

Gusti shared experiences and important tips for students who are about to start their internship journey. Take good care of Polman Babel's alma mater during your internship.
"A professional attitude will reflect the quality of yourself and your institution," he stressed, reminding the importance of maintaining the good name of the campus.

Zanu Saputra, M.Tr.T., as Chair of the Internship Commission, said that this activity was designed to prepare students to face challenges in the workplace. "We want students to understand how to overcome obstacles and comply with the rules that apply in the company," he said.
"According to Zanu, this briefing is not only about theory, but also makes students aware of the importance of attitude and work ethics. He hopes that this activity can build students' self-confidence when undergoing internships," he added.
Meanwhile, Juanda, M.T., added that internships are not only about fulfilling academic obligations, but also students' first step in building a professional network.
"Use this opportunity to learn as much as possible and show your best abilities," said Juanda.

At the end of the session, the Internship Commission Team opened a discussion forum which allowed students to ask questions directly to the resource person. The questions asked varied, ranging from how to deal with work pressure to tips for maintaining performance during an internship.

With this activity, Polman Babel hopes to produce students who not only excel academically, but are also ready to compete in the world of work. "This internship provision is the first step for students to achieve success in their career journey," said Juanda.
