SUNGAILIAT - POLMANBABEL. Hundreds of students from SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Teritip visited the campus of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel), Wednesday 14 June 2023. This group of students from Simpang Teritip came to Polman Babel's green campus accompanied by school supervisors, teachers and administration staff by driving nine buses, consisting of eleventh grade students. The arrival of the SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Teritip group was not without purpose, but they had an agenda from the school to visit Polman Babel in the context of Field Trip activities with the aim of wanting to know more about Polman Babel. Their arrival was welcomed by the Head of the BAAKPK Planning and Cooperation Subdivision, Juanda, M.T at the Polman Babel Hall. "Polman Babel is always ready to welcome students from high school, vocational school who want to visit Polman Babel, we are wide open for those who want to get to know Polman Babel," said Juanda (14/6) He added that Polman Babel regularly receives visits from schools, generally from the eleventh grade because Polman Babel will be one of the choices for younger students to continue their education after graduation. In his remarks, Juanda welcomed the teachers, the students of SMAN 1 Simpang Teritip and would be ready to provide information about Polman Babel, including being ready to cooperate with fellow educational institutions if needed. "We thank you for the welcome from Polman Babel who received this group, for students to take advantage of this opportunity as well as possible," said Amrullah. According to Amrullah, the opportunity to continue studying at Polman Babel is wide open, but they must continue to compete because Polman Babel does not only belong to Bangka Belitung but nationally can compete here. After the presentation, students were given the opportunity to tour the campus to see campus facilities such as laboratories, workshops, workshops accompanied by students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electronics and Informatics Engineering. "Explore information about the Polman Negeri Babel, about the practice and atmosphere of learning here, later the older students will explain it, I hope this activity will be an alternative choice for you to continue studying after graduating from high school," said Juanda. On the same occasion, the School Superintendent of West Bangka Regency Cabdin IV of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Amrullah M.Pd also accompanied SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Teritip on a field trip to Polman Babel. "In 2012 I also brought students from Tempilang to study at Polman Babel," Amrullah said in his speech. "Our intention is to visit Polman Babel this time with the same intention, namely to learn and introduce students to the conditions of tertiary institutions such as Polman Babel," he added. He continued that this group consisted of teachers, administrative staff and tenth and eleventh grade students, but the dominant one was from eleventh grade. He stated that Polman Babel is not a new university but has been established for a long time, hopefully Polman Babel will be more advanced and victorious in the future and can accommodate these students.
