Duet Two D4 Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) students at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel), Devid Wijaya and Micco Aureldo won twice in the UI/UX Design Rafatech competition from UIN Raden Fatah Palembang for two consecutive years .
The first in 2022 won 2nd place in a similar event and the second this year again took part in the UX/UX Design Rafatech competition with the theme "Technology Society 5.0" and was able to win 1st place in UI/UX Design Raden Fatah Technology (Rafatech) 2023.
This technology competition was organized by the Information Systems study program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang on 12-14 June 2023.
Carrying the name of the Shell team from Polman Babel, these two students have twice won the championship in the same competition.
When competing, the shell team chose to focus on the health sector and developed a health application called Shellfit.
Riki Afriansyah as the supervising lecturer is also proud of the achievements of his students being able to win the championship in two consecutive years.
"Alhamdulillah, Devid and Micco, these two students managed to win 1st place in UI/UX Design Rafatech 2023, I as the supervisor are proud because they are both still excited to take part in UI/UX competitions," said Riki when confirmed, (15/07/2023).
"The spirit of competition is there, after finishing lectures they continue to innovate and look for the right concepts for their UI/UX designs," continued Riki.
As a supervisor, he admits that he always motivates students to keep trying, that the most important thing is courage, experience, and self-confidence.
Apart from that, you have to have the courage to try, losing or winning doesn't matter, but the most important thing is to gain experience.
"Provisions will not be exchanged and from this experience we learn to be better," said Riki.
He continued, from the results and the hard work spirit of the Shell Team they managed to win 1st place in UI/UX Design Rafatech 2023.
"I congratulate the Shell team for working diligently, keep on working and get out of the comfort zone that keeps us from growing because there are still other challenges that need to be faced to be experienced and continue to do our best to make the name of Polman Negeri Babel, Riki said.
Riki revealed that the application, which was created under the name ShellFIt, means Smart Health and Lifestyle Locator which focuses on improving public health.
Meanwhile, Micco also revealed that in the competition this time they chose to focus on the health sector, because this was their commitment in responding to the challenges faced by society related to health in today's digital era.
"Based on these challenges, we chose this application with the theme of health," said Micco.
Micco is very grateful to be able to win first place. He hopes this result can bring Polman Babel's name and motivate other student friends.
