Polman Negeri Babel Choir Makes the Event Solemn

Those were some of the lyrics to the MGBK march sung by the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic choir (Polman Negeri Babel) at the opening of the 2022 MGBK Integrated Career Day activity at the Polman Negeri Babel Campus last Saturday.
The invited guests and participants at the Bangka Belitung Counseling Teacher Consultation (MGBK) were amazed by the appearance of the Polman Negeri Babel choir students.
The atmosphere was solemn after the host opened the event, followed by a choir singing the anthem Indonesia Raya followed by the MGBK march.
The MGBK marching song was so beautiful to hear accompanied by music that added to the enthusiasm and liveliness of the MGBK collaboration event with the Polman Negeri Babel.
The cool appearance of the Polman Negeri Babel choir at every ceremonial and official event is not without preparation, but the choir consisting of students has been carefully prepared through the Art Student Activity Unit (UKM) at the Polman Negeri Babel.
Through regular training and good coaching, students who are members of the Art UKM will always be ready to perform at the opening of events on various agendas organized by the Polman Negeri Babel.
"At the MGBK event, we were given the opportunity to bring the MGBK march song, which at first did not know the lyrics of this march, then we looked for references as practice before performing the opening ceremony," said Robert Napitupulu as the conductor of the Polman Negeri Babel choir (25/10).
"We only practice one week to prepare for the collaboration between the Polman Negeri Babel and this counseling teacher," he added.
Apart from being the conductor, Robert, as he is familiarly called, who is also the coach and trainer of the Art UKM, said that there are three fields that are occupied by the Arts UKM, the first is the choir, the second is dance, and the third is band musical instruments.
The choir team consists of students from Polman Negeri Babel at level one and level two from all majors who are interested in joining the Art UKM.
"The members of the Art UKM itself are 80 students, then we offer students to choose a field from the Art UKM that they like and are talented," said Robert
"That's how we as coaches in selecting students based on interests and talents," he said.
The choir's appearance at the opening ceremony of Career Day MGBK, Robert said that he had sent 30 choir personnel who had been trained and educated carefully before appearing on stage.
In addition, the UKM Seni also featured five dancers who also regularly practiced and performed at each opening event. This time, the dance featured a welcoming dance and a closing dance.
Robert continued, the choir and dance from the UKM of his fostered arts always appear at every event organized by the Polman Negeri Babel with the principle of minimizing mistakes and looking stunning in every tone, sound and movement.
"Currently, the need for choirs and dances for UKM Arts is only for the needs of the Polman Negeri Babel's internal events, but if there are offers and needs for events outside, we will be ready to perform, we will try to open ourselves at external events later," said Robert.
"In the past, he performed outside, in the 2010s but still at the provincial level," he added.
Robert also revealed that the Art UKM exercise is held every Wednesday and Thursday, after the lecture schedule in the afternoon with the trainer there are three people from the Polman Negeri Babel lecturer who animate the arts, they are Subkhan, Charlotha and Robert himself and assisted by the support system team from Zaldy Suzen.
"For dance, we give more freedom for students to practice outside and invite trainers from outside," he said.
"Recently, the Polman Negeri Babel dance team won the dance creation by participating in a dance festival competition at the university level at the University of Bangka Belitung," said Robert.
Robert hopes that the Polman Negeri Babel choir can perform optimally and be calculated in the future at every event as they have shown and proved at the opening of the MGBK Career Day by singing the MGBK marching song.
"In the future, Art UKM will also participate in events outside the provincial and national levels," he said.
The collaboration of the Polman Negeri Babel with MGBK in the context of cooperation to provide information to final year students to be ready for college, ready to work, ready for entrepreneurship through an activity entitled Integrated Career Day MGBK Babel 2022 for two days at the Polman Negeri Babel campus.
