Cool ! Rock Climbing Branch Wins 2 Golds Brings Polmanbabel Overall Champion
SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polmanbabel) contingent from the Rock Climbing Branch won 2 gold medals at the XIII Indonesian Polytechnic and Sports Week (Porseni) on 13-20 July 2022 in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
It was Afifah Nurhasanah who competed in the rock climbing branch in the women's speed classic category and the women's lead number was able to beat contingents from other polytechnics.
The struggle of this student from the Software Engineering Technology Study Program could lead Polmanbabel to become the overall champion in the rock climbing branch.
Efforts do not betray the results, and the results achieved become pride for the sacrifices, but the most important thing is that we should be grateful for these results.
This was also conveyed by the head of the Polmanbabel contingent, Zanu Saputra, M.T who was also proud of the success of Polmanbabel students.
"We are proud of the students who were chosen to represent Polmanbabel in the Porseni event," said Zanu (19/07/2022).
In addition to the 2 golds won, Zanu added that Polmanbabel also took home 3 bronzes from Fadel Ramiro in athletics, 2 bronzes in the 100 meters and 200 meters categories and 1 bronze from Abde Fattahwa in the kumite class under 84 kg.
"Alhamdulillah, we were able to bring 5 medals at Porseni this time, this is the result of struggle and training so far, thanks also to the coaches and coaches of the athletes for their support," he added.
Then Zanu also conveyed his motivation to the other athletes who had not managed to get a medal and thanked them for their participation.
"Don't be discouraged for those who haven't succeeded, keep fighting and practicing because there will be other events," said Zanu.
After participating in Porseni in Banjarmasin, Polmanbabel athletes will also be prepared to face POMNAS which will be scheduled for November in Padang.
"In addition to academic achievement, non-academic achievements need to be highlighted by Polmanbabel students through student activity units (UKM)," added Zanu.
The achievements of these non-academic students both in the fields of sports and the arts will be selected to be able to participate in national activities and events such as Porseni or other events.(oln)
