The No Mercy Polman Negeri Babel Team won 1st place in the 2024 Etam Ship Competition
The No Mercy Team from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) succeeded in winning 1st place in the Survilance category at the prestigious Etam Ship Competition held by the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) on 2-6 September 2024. This competition took place in the Bamboe Wanadesa Tourism area and was attended by eight universities from various regions of Indonesia.
As a shipping engineering competition, the Etam Ship Competition is a forum for engineering students from all over Indonesia to hone their skills in the field of shipping and its supporting technology. This competition tests the creativity and mental toughness of the participants in facing various challenges.
Polman Babel sent its best team consisting of students from various departments, with full support from supervisor Ocsirendi, M.T., and Chess coach Pebriandani, S.Tr.T. The success of the No Mercy team cannot be separated from the hard work and comprehensive guidance of both of them.
No Mercy team members consist of Febrian Athala and Zainul Muttaqin Alghiffari from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry, as well as Ramanda Aditya from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. They were able to overcome the technical challenges faced during the competition and emerged as the best among other participants.
Ocsirendi's supervisor, M.T., expressed his pride in this achievement. "I am very proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our students. They were able to show innovation and extraordinary skills in facing the challenges of this competition," he said.
The team coach, Catur Pebriandani, S.Tr.T., also expressed his appreciation for the achievements achieved. According to him, this victory was the result of intensive training and solid cooperation between team members. "We trained diligently, and the team showed extraordinary commitment. This is the result of a long process and thorough preparation," said Catur.
Zainul Muttaqin Alghiffari, one of the students, shared valuable experiences while participating in the competition. "The challenges we faced were extraordinary, but thanks to the support of our supervisors and coaches, we were able to overcome them all and achieve this victory," he said enthusiastically.
Head of the Electronics Engineering Study Program, Aan Febriansyah, M.T., who was met on Friday (6/9/2024), also appreciated this victory. "The *Etam Ship* competition not only demands technical skills, but also creativity in designing innovative shipping technology-based solutions. The No Mercy team succeeded in impressing the jury with the *Survilance* concept they developed," he explained.
This success not only brings pride to the team, but also to the entire Polman Babel academic community. This achievement further strengthens Polman Babel's position as a vocational education institution capable of competing on the national stage.
