Student-E Polman Negeri Babel, Arts UKM Shows Various Creative Competitions
The Art Student Activity Unit (UKM) at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held a Poetry and Stand-Up Comedy competition as part of a series of Student-E activities held at the library, Tuesday (15/10/2024).
This event aims to explore and channel student creativity in the fields of arts and culture, as well as being a venue for channeling talents in the midst of busy academic activities.
This competition attracted the interest of dozens of students from various departments at Polman Babel.

They compete to showcase their skills on stage, both in conveying poetry full of emotion and entertaining the audience with typical stand-up comedy jokes. The presence of the audience added to the lively atmosphere, with applause and cheers accompanying each performance.
Charlota, M.Tr.T., as the supervisor of UKM Arts, expressed his high appreciation to the participants who had shown extraordinary enthusiasm and enthusiasm in this event.
"I am very proud to see the creativity that Polman Babel students have. Through this competition, they can learn to be more confident and hone their skills," he said.
He also added that this event is not just about competition, but also about friendship and learning from each other.
"For those who win, of course this is the beginning of recognition for their efforts and hard work. Meanwhile for those who are not lucky, this is an opportunity to continue learning and developing," said Charlota, motivating the participants.
Charlota also mentioned that this competition was not just an artistic event, but also a means to improve the quality of student character.
"Every poem and comedy delivered has a moral message that can move and inspire both the audience and the participants themselves," he added.
Not only that, this competition was also attended by several lecturers and campus staff who also provided support. "Their presence shows that Polman Babel can encourage the development of students' soft skills outside of the academic field, as an important provision for the professional world in the future," he explained.

The winners of this competition will later receive certificates of appreciation and attractive prizes from the campus, as a form of appreciation for their dedication in developing artistic talents.
Apart from that, they also have the opportunity to appear at other major campus events, which will provide a platform for continued creativity.
For students who were inspired by this event, UKM Arts opened registration for new members to join.
"We hope that more and more students will be interested in being active in arts and cultural activities on campus.
"Art unites, and by joining UKM Arts, they can find a new family here," he said.
This competition activity received a positive response from students and was considered a positive step to build a dynamic and creative campus atmosphere.
"Hopefully Polman Babel can continue to hold similar events in the future as part of developing student potential holistically," said Charlota.
