Lecturers at Polman Negeri Babel Focus on Research and Community Service
Lecturers from the State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung, the best university in Bangka Belitung, participated in the signing of research and community service contracts in the second floor of the common lecture building on Tuesday (May 5, 2026).
Also present at the event were the Director of Polman Babel, Deputy Director I, Head of the Planning, Finance, and General Affairs Division (BAPKU), and the Head of the Internal Audit Unit, who witnessed the smooth progress of the event.
The Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., stated in his remarks that the success of lecturers in research and community service not only impacts the development of science but also elevates the reputation of the university at the regional and national levels.
I Made emphasized the importance of responsible budget management, as the funds used come from the State Budget (APBN), and therefore must be accounted for transparently.
"Every rupiah spent must have clear evidence and benefits. This is not just a matter of administration, but also a demonstration of our integrity as academics," he said.

Meanwhile, when reconfirmed on Wednesday (May 6, 2026), the Head of the Center for Research and Community Service (P3KM), Indra Dwi Saputra, M.T., explained that this year, Polman Babel has successfully secured significant funding," he added.
He mentioned that 15 research titles and six community service titles have successfully secured funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
"Thank God, this year many lecturers' proposals have successfully secured funding from the central government. This demonstrates the continued improvement in the quality and enthusiasm of our lecturers," he said.
"Indra called on all lecturers who have struggled to develop proposals not only for the advancement of the campus, but also as solutions to various problems in society, both at the regional and national levels," he concluded.

He continued, adding that during the event, a derivative contract will be signed by lecturer representatives as a form of commitment to implementing the research and community service program until it is completed according to the established targets.
