Congratulations, Polman Babel Students Won 2nd Place in the Valorant Competition I-Fest 3.0 Informatics Festival
SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. Congratulations to the students of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) for winning 2nd place in a valorant competition held by Multi Data Palembang University (MDP) some time ago.
The activity, entitled Valorant Competetion I-Fest 3.0 Informatics Festival, was attended by five students majoring in Electrical Engineering and Informatics Polman Negeri Babel online.
Head of the Software Engineering Technology study program, Ahmad Josi, M.Kom, said students took part in the competition online and the winners were announced last Sunday night and the students who took part were dominated by TRPL students.
"At the time of the announcement, thank God Polman Babel won 2nd place, losing to the Abr Gemink team who won 1st place," said Josi when confirmed, (28/03/2023).
Josi explained that the valorant competition itself is one of the sports branches of E-Sport, valorant is a First-person shooter (FPS) genre game that uses the Abilities of each agent.
"At the end of 2022 Valorant has officially become a competition that will be contested at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia later," he said.
He also supports students to continue to compete and compete with other participants from other universities. Josi also has no doubts about the ability of TRPL students to compete.
"We hope students can hone their skills in every competition," he said.
In addition, the success of students will also bring the good name of the Polman Babel campus so that he always encourages and guides students in competitions and competitions they are interested in.
"Students who participate and win this championship will be an added value for them as a form of Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka or MBKM" he continued.
Meanwhile, one of the Polman Babel student teams, Rangga Febri Hadi Tanjung hopes that competitions between students, especially in the E-sport branch, will continue to exist and continue to develop, especially in PC games (Valorant).
According to him, this competition can increase the interest of students, especially video game lovers and improve their skills in playing video games, every ability they have can be an arena for competing with fellow students at other universities.
