Taiwan's ITRI Visits Polman, Babel, to Strengthen Education and Industry Networks
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) welcomed international guests from the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) Taiwan as part of a collaborative initiative with the government and universities. The visit took place in the Presentation Room on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
The guest from ITRI Taiwan, Mr. Jeffrey Kuo-chan Chiou, was welcomed by the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., along with the leadership and academic community. The meeting was warm and collaborative from the outset.
In his remarks, the Director of Polman Babel stated that the visit by ITRI Taiwan represents international recognition of Polman Babel's quality and potential. The presence of this renowned technology research institution from Taiwan is both a source of pride and a strategic opportunity for the institution's development.

I Made explained that although there are many universities in Bangka Belitung Province, ITRI Taiwan specifically chose Polman Babel as a visiting partner and to explore international collaborations to further Polman Babel's development.
"From the moment it was recognized and recognized by foreign countries, the trust ITRI Taiwan has placed in Polman Babel is extraordinary," he explained.
Furthermore, Polman Babel expressed its gratitude to Mr. Jeffrey Kuo-chan Chiou for the visit and said it remains open to further visits and the development of more concrete collaborations in the future," he said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jeffrey Kuo-chan Chiou stated that ITRI welcomes the collaboration initiative being explored with Polman Babel. He hopes Polman Babel can find an appropriate collaboration model that meets the needs of both parties.
Furthermore, Mr. Jeffrey revealed that ITRI offers opportunities for Polman Babel academics, both lecturers and students, to participate in internship programs, training, and career opportunities within ITRI Taiwan," he concluded.
