IISMAVO 2022 Program, National Police of Babylon Hosts the Debriefing and Release of Vocational Students to Taiwan
SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) hosted the debriefing and release of vocational students who passed the 2022 Indonesian Mobility Awards for Vocational Students (IISMAVO) program with the goal of Taiwan.
The agenda for organizing this activity is in the context of providing Pre-departure Briefing and releasing Awardee Taiwan Batch 2 to 71 vocational students online on August 31, 2022.
This time, the IISMAVO Team showed the Polman Negeri Babel through the career center team and the collaboration of the Polman Negeri Babel to carry out the debriefing and release of study programs and internships abroad for Taiwan by featuring several speakers.
Among them are Ichwan Joesoef as the Head of Tourism and Transportation of the IETO Taipei, Clara Lavita Angelina, M.S as an NTU-Yuntech Doctoral student and also as a lecturer in the Polman Negeri Babel.
In addition to presenting two resource persons who were familiar with the ins and outs of Taiwan, this briefing also featured the mother of one of the students who passed the IISMAVO program, namely Mrs. Micha Kartini as the parent of Hanif Ayunda Safitri Haryanto Awardee Asia University (AU) Taiwan.
Before the resource persons gave briefings to students, the Director of the Polman Negeri Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, gave motivation and messages to the awardee participants to stay safe, take care of the alma mater and most importantly protect the name of the Indonesian nation.
"Don't forget to ask for prayers and permission from your parents, keep your good name, never give up because this is the beginning of the struggle to build a career, everything is an experience for younger siblings to be good in the future," said Made in his speech, Wednesday (31/03). 08/2022.
As motivation and providing an overview of studying abroad, Made also told his experience in pursuing doctoral education in Australia, many stories and experiences he gained including different languages, cultures, foods, even if in Taiwan the writing was different.
In addition, he congratulated the awardees on passing the IISMAVO program, this is an opportunity and not everyone is lucky to have the opportunity to study or have an internship abroad which is funded by the state.
"Through this program, students can gain broad insight, get to know each other in different countries, one day these students will become future leaders, explore knowledge, study in other countries," said Made.
The same thing was also conveyed by Beny Bandanadjaja as Academic Director of Vocational Higher Education, Directorate General of Vocational Education Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology said the students who passed were very lucky because during college they could study abroad.
According to him, getting tickets abroad through IISMAVO is not an easy process because the selection and competition is very high and the interest of enthusiasts for this program is also very high.
"These brothers and sisters are very lucky to be able to pass this program, don't waste this opportunity," he said.
"Of course, I also advise to protect the good name of the alma mater, especially to protect the good name of Indonesia because you are our representatives there, if you can bring achievements there so that they become an example for students here, of course it will increase the trust of our cooperation in Taiwan," he added.
Beny also said that after being there, continue to communicate and coordinate with various parties in Taiwan such as IETO as Indonesia's representative in Taiwan.
This briefing and release was also attended by the Leader and PIC of PTPPV awardee Taiwan. This time, the IISMAVO program has passed 71 vocational education students in Indonesia, one of which is from the National Police of Babylon, Hasya Akhlaqah Harmie, who will study at Yuan Ze University in Taiwan.
