Dozens of Stania Koba Middle School Students Visit Polman Negeri Babel to Get to Know the Campus Better
An educational visit once again graced the campus of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel). This time, 67 students from Stania Koba Middle School, along with their teachers, arrived in person at the campus hall on Tuesday (April 14, 2026).
The students' arrival was not just an ordinary trip, but part of an effort to introduce them to the world of higher education from an early age. Although still in junior high school, their enthusiasm for learning more about their studies was palpable.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by the campus administration. The hall was filled with curiosity as students eager to learn more about campus life, study programs, and future career opportunities.

Head of Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation of Polman Babel, Somawardi, M.T., said that the steps taken by the Stania Koba Middle School students were extraordinary, having already started thinking about their future education up to the tertiary level. "This demonstrates a strong awareness from an early age," he said.
In his remarks, Somawardi explained that Polman Babel emphasizes strengthening practical skills. Students are equipped with technical skills to prepare them for the workforce with innovative ideas and quick responses to industry needs.
"During their studies, students not only learn theory but are also trained to produce real-world work relevant to today's industrial world," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Academic Subdivision at Polman Babel, Olan Romdhani, S.E., also explained the various study programs available on campus to the students of Stania Koba Middle School. Polman Babel offers a number of vocational-based study programs focused on industry needs, such as manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, electronics, and other engineering technologies that continue to evolve," he added.
In his presentation, Olan emphasized that the learning system at Polman Babel prioritizes practice over theory. This aims to produce graduates who are work-ready and possess strong technical skills.
"The excitement of studying at Polman Babel is that practice is more dominant. So, when you move on to college, you'll need not only knowledge but also skills," he said.
He also encouraged the students to start preparing now. "Even though they are still in junior high school, it's possible they already have an interest in continuing their education at a vocational college like Polman Babel in the future," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the principal of Stania Koba Junior High School, Woro Hermina Yuni, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome given by the campus. She admitted that this visit was a very memorable first experience for the students.
"We are very grateful for the warm welcome. This has been a valuable experience for our students, allowing them to experience the campus world firsthand," she said.

Yuni explained that this activity aims to broaden students' horizons regarding higher education and help them begin planning their future aspirations and study options. "Furthermore, this visit also serves as part of their learning process for compiling activity reports," she said.
With the enthusiasm shown by the students, this visit has left the younger generation highly motivated to pursue a better education. In fact, some of them admitted to having learned about Polman Babel through the website and social media before finally visiting the campus in person," she concluded.
