The Polman Negeri Babel Social and Development Team Intensifies SNPMB Promotion, YPN Belinyu Vocational School Students Ask About Scholarships and Career Prospects
The Socialization and Promotion (Sospro) Team of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) continues to actively visit high schools and vocational schools in Bangka Belitung. This activity was conducted over two weeks, from February 04 to 12, 2026, to introduce new student admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The visit aimed to provide 12th-grade students with a comprehensive understanding of the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), including the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), the Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), and the independent pathway offered by the university.

Despite coinciding with practical exams at several schools, the socialization activity was well received. The schools provided the Polman Babel Sospro team with time and space to convey important information regarding opportunities for continuing their education at vocational higher education institutions.
One of the schools visited was SMK YPN Belinyu. During the event, the Sospro team provided a detailed explanation of the majors and study programs available at Polman Babel, the practice-based lecture system, and information about the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and various scholarship programs available to students.
"In addition to introducing the study programs, we also provided information about collaboration opportunities with various partner companies. Polman Babel graduates have a great opportunity to be recruited by industry after completing their studies," said a member of the Sospro team during the presentation.

This explanation sparked enthusiasm among the students. Many of them actively asked questions about the scholarship mechanism, job prospects for each study program, and the areas of expertise that best align with current industry needs," he explained.
The two-way interaction created a lively atmosphere for the socialization. "The students seemed to be listening intently and eagerly exploring information about their future education after graduating from vocational school," he admitted.
Meanwhile, Demi, a Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher at SMK YPN Belinyu, stated that the presence of the Polman Babel Sospro team at this activity was very beneficial in broadening students' horizons regarding further study options.
"We thank the Polman Babel Sospro Team for coming and interacting directly with the students. The information provided was very helpful in helping students understand the process and opportunities for continuing their studies, especially at Polman Babel," he said.
He also added that several SMK YPN Belinyu students have registered through the SNBP pathway at Polman Babel. "We hope this visit will further motivate other students to continue their higher education and achieve a brighter future through vocational education," he concluded.
