Open Mandarin Classes for Free

SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. The International Talent Circulation Base (INTACT) Base has officially had its office at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic Campus (Polman Babel) as a representative office for cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia.
In Indonesia there are three INTACT Base representative offices which on December 13 were inaugurated by Mr. Saryadi, Chair of FDPNI, Director of Madiun State Polytechnic, Director of Polman Babel, TETO, and President of Taiwan Universities, namely Chengsiu University, HsingWu University, and Chaoyang University.
Polman Babel is the only Polytechnic that has an INTACT Base office while the other two offices are at the university.
This was conveyed by Dedy Ramdhani Harahap as Chair of the Polman Babel Career and Cooperation Center during a thanksgiving prayer event for the establishment of the INTACT Base office in Polman Babel, Friday 15 December 2023.
According to Dedy, the Central Government's support for vocational education and Polman Babel which has also sent many students, alumni and lecturers to continue their education to Taiwan was one of the considerations for Hsing Wu University choosing Polman Babel as a suitable location and supporting the establishment of this INTACT Base office.
"This is a collaboration between Polman Babel and HsingWu University Taiwan, where all office operational and HR needs are funded directly by INTACT Base Babel while Polman Babel only supports the preparation of rooms and other supporting facilities such as air conditioning and meeting chairs," said Dedy (15/12 ).
Dedy explained that the presence of INTACT Base Babel at Polman Babel was a forum to equip students, alumni, lecturers, and even the general public who were interested in continuing their education or getting information about Taiwan.
Currently INTACT Base Babel has implemented free Mandarin language classes which are open to the public, and also provides study assistance to Taiwan and provides information on further studies through existing scholarships to Taiwan.
"There are free Mandarin language classes running here for active students, lecturers, staff and the general public by registering directly at the Polman Babel INTACT Base office," he said.
On the same occasion, the Director of INTACT Base Babel, Supriantono, B.E., M.B.A., revealed that Polman Babel is a campus that is recommended to be used as an INTACT Base representative office because since 2017 Polman Babel has collaborated with Hsing Wu University for Student Industry Academic activities to Taiwan.
"This program is right on target for Polman Babel, especially for those who want to continue their studies from D3 to D4 and S1 levels, and also lecturers or staff who want to study can also help find information," said Rian, his nickname.
This alumnus from HsingWu University Taiwan also expressed his gratitude to Polman Babel for collaborating with INTACT to open an office in Bangka Belitung.
In the future, INTACT Babel will not only be limited to further studies in Taiwan. He hopes that every international relationship can help each other regarding international education information.
"We can share educational information abroad with each other, share experiences," he said.
Meanwhile, Director of Polman Babel I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D said this was the first step to increase the scale of education internationally, starting with small things first.
Small things that have been built so far are like internships, but in the future there could be cooperation related to Double Degree which will be an added value.
He also expressed his gratitude and gratitude for being able to collaborate in this program, because many things will be developed regarding international education for students, alumni and lecturers. (hms)
