Commemorate the 77th Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with a Flag Ceremony and Lively Tug of War Competition

SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. The flag ceremony in commemoration of the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in 2022 was solemn.
The Director of the Polman Negeri Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, was the supervisor of the ceremony which was held on the green campus of the Polman Negeri Babel, Wednesday (17/08/2022) starting at 08.00 WIB until it was finished.
The participants of the ceremony were attended by all employees of the Polman Negeri Babel, both educators and education staff, and involved student organizations as officers for the ceremony.
From a series of processions from the beginning of preparation, to raising the flag and until the end of the ceremony everything went smoothly with the formation of three students raising the flag.
As the builder of the ceremony, I Made Andik Setiawan delivered the ceremony's mandate by reading the remarks of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia which contained the spirit of "Recover Faster, Rise Stronger".
Responding to the implementation of this year's ceremony, Made said that the 77th anniversary of independence this time carried the theme of independent learning, meaning that students and lecturers are free to study again, be independent in their own way, adding to their potential according to their respective fasions.
"They are able to develop themselves as much as possible according to their respective jobs and roles," said Made, Wednesday (17/08/2022).
"Freedom to learn here means that we cannot study only for ourselves, learning must be in accordance with the needs of the community, able to answer the problems that exist in the community," he added.
He also explained that on this independence day, every individual must be able to play a role according to their function to develop independent learning, develop themselves in order to solve the problems that exist around us.
"We will also convince the current generation of society that they must be trained in the world of work and social life, with the capital stock in college, both theory and practice through various independent learning programs on an independent campus," said Made.
The commemoration of national holidays such as the Indonesian Independence Day is routinely carried out by the Polman Negeri Babel every year, but the implementation of the last two years due to the pandemic has been followed online following the direction of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
After carrying out the commemoration of the flag ceremony, the director, deputy director and all employees of the Polman Negeri Babel also enlivened the moment of independence of the tug of war competition and hospitality.
The activities are divided into two categories, namely the men's tug of war consisting of twenty-four teams and the women's tug of war consisting of nine teams, each team consisting of five people.
"We are holding a tug of war competition in an effort to enliven Indonesia's independence day with the values of togetherness and cohesiveness," said Made.
"This is not an event to find the strong or who is weak, but our togetherness in the Polman Negeri Babel needs to be maintained," he continued.
The participants were enthusiastic to take part in the competition which was held at the Polman Negeri Babel yard. After the competition was over, the activity continued with all the staff of the Polman Negeri Babel. (hms/oln)
