SUNGAILIAT-POLMANBABEL. At the end of 2023, the Internship Commission for the 2023-2023 Academic Year of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) will carry out monitoring and evaluation (Monev) activities for D3 students who carry out internships in companies.
Chaired by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department (Kajur) the monitoring and evaluation implementation began with PT. Shiba Hydraulic Pratama and PT. Varotech Indonesia in Tangerang, Wednesday 22 November 2023.
There are eleven students who carry out internships at PT. Shiba Hydraulic Pratama and three students at PT. Varotech Indonesia.
Apart from carrying out monitoring and evaluation duties for student internship activities, a cooperation plan was also carried out with the company regarding the implementation of internships, recruitment and independent campus learning (MBKM).
This was stated by the chairman of the 2023-2023 Internship Commission, Pristiansyah, who said that a cooperation agreement (PKS) had been signed with PT. Shiba Hydraulic Pratama.
Meanwhile, with PT. Varotech Indonesia is still exploring cooperation so that Polman Babel's relationship with the company is closely established.
"Our students have carried out internships at both companies, so we need to strengthen relations between agencies through signing this PKS," he said (22/11).
"The things we are collaborating on are related to internships, recruitment and also practitioner lecturers from industry, hopefully this will be able to align the needs of institutions with Polman Babel graduates," he added.
He also said that as a result of the internship monitoring and evaluation, the students received good results from the company, including that the company felt that it was helpful to have students there, and it was possible that the company would also recruit competent students to be able to work there.
Monitoring and evaluation and exploring internship cooperation is one of the activity agendas that has been discussed with the commission team for 2023 and will continue in the following years.
The internship commission at Polman Babel has been formed based on the Decree of the Director of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic Number 0143/PL28/KP/2023 dated 1 August 2023 concerning the 2023-2024 Academic Year Internship Commission at Polman Babel.
Consisting of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretariat and Public Relations, Members and Supervisors who have duties and functions as stated in the decision letter.
"Hopefully with the internship commission, the implementation of internship activities for D3 and D4 Polman Babel students will be better to create graduates who are competent in their fields," concluded Pampam, the nickname of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. (hms)
