Strengthening Friendship and Developing Students, Campus Team Teaching Polman Negeri Babel Visits SMPN 6 Sungailiat
The Teaching Campus Team from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel), consisting of a number of lecturers, visited SMP Negeri 6 Sungailiat on Tuesday (29/10/2024).
This visit aims to strengthen friendly relations with the school as well as monitor the progress of two Polman Babel students who are currently undergoing the Teaching Campus program at the school.
The warm welcome from the Principal of SMPN 6 Sungailiat, Mangsur, and the civil service teachers showed the enthusiasm of the school in welcoming the Polman Babel team.
The school appreciates the attention given by the campus in accompanying students while undergoing programs at school.
Juanda, M.T., as Higher Education Coordinator, said that this visit was a form of Polman Babel's commitment to ensuring that their students could have a positive impact in the environment where they work.
"We want to ensure that students involved in the Teaching Campus program not only attend, but also truly become part of the educational environment here," said Juanda.
Apart from that, Juanda also provided input to students regarding the challenges they faced while teaching at SMPN 6 Sungailiat.
He provided several practical suggestions that can help students improve the effectiveness of their teaching.
"Experience in this field is a golden opportunity to develop ourselves. We hope they can be optimal and useful for the school," he added.
The field supervisor, Indah Rizky Pratiwi, M.Pd., when confirmed for the visit, appreciated the students' dedication in carrying out the Teaching Campus program.
He also hopes that this visit will provide additional enthusiasm and motivation for them. "This is a very good opportunity for students to learn directly, and we will continue to support them," said Indah.
Indah added that this program is also a form of Polman Babel's service to the community.
"With our students in schools, we want to be part of improving the quality of education in the region, especially in the areas of skills and technology," he said.
On the other hand, the Principal of SMPN 6 Sungailiat, Mangsur, expressed his gratitude for the presence of Polman Babel students who have made a positive contribution to his school. According to Mangsur, the presence of these students brings a new perspective to students and teachers at the school.
"They brought innovative and more interactive learning methods, this really helps our children," said Mangsur.
During this visit, active discussions between lecturers and the school took place warmly, discussing various strategies that could be implemented to support teaching and learning activities at SMPN 6 Sungailiat. The school hopes that this collaboration can continue and even be developed with other programs.
The Teaching Campus program involving Polman Babel students is part of an effort to improve the quality of education in the region, especially in schools that still need additional teaching staff.
