A Glance at the Informatics and Business Department

The Informatics and Business Department is committed to supporting the vision of the University, namely the realization of a quality institution, mastering applied science, technology, and innovation to increase the nation's competitiveness. This department was formed to produce graduates who have competence in the fields of integrated informatics and business, so that they are able to contribute significantly to the industrial world and the wider community.

The Informatics and Business Department currently consists of 2 study programs, namely D4 Software Engineering Technology and D4 Digital Business. The curriculum in the Informatics and Business Department is focused on developing strong technical and analytical skills in the fields of Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Internet of Things, Business Management, and Digital Entrepreneurship. Students will be equipped with the latest knowledge of programming, data analysis, cybersecurity, e-commerce, project management, and the ability to integrate technology into business processes. This is done to create innovative solutions that are relevant and adaptive to changing industry needs.

In line with the mission of the University, this department focuses on improving the quality and access of education through a practical approach and curriculum that is relevant to the latest technological developments, the Informatics and Business Department aims to improve the quality of education and open wider access for students to obtain applicable knowledge and in accordance with current industry needs.

In the development of Applied Research, students and lecturers in the Informatics and Business Department are encouraged to engage in basic and applied research that is oriented towards innovation of information technology and business products and solutions that can provide added value. This research not only supports academic development but also increases the capacity for innovation and competitiveness at the national and international levels.

The Informatics and Business Department is committed to implementing applied science and technology in community service activities. Through collaboration with industry and local communities, this department seeks to solve real problems and provide a positive impact on society, by utilizing innovation and technology resulting from academic and research activities.

Thus, graduates of the Informatics and Business majors are expected to not only have in-depth technical knowledge and competent business skills, but also have an innovative spirit and social responsibility to make a real contribution to advancing the economy and the nation's competitiveness.
