The Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry (JREIP) is one of the departments at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic which houses several study programs in the Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Engineering clusters. In line with the vision and mission of Polman Negeri Bangka Belitung, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry (JREIP) continues to strive and is committed to consistently implementing the tridharma of higher education. Currently, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry already has 3 study programs, including: D3 Electronic Engineering Study Program, D4 Electronic Engineering Study Program and D4 Precision Agriculture Study Program. The development of new study programs continues to be pursued as a step to contribute to society and meet the need for competent, quality human resources that are relevant to the Business World and Industry.
As an effort to prepare skilled and competent graduates, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry (JREIP) prioritizes practice to achieve active and applicable application of science and technology with a percentage of practical lectures above 60%. To improve students' soft skills, the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum has been implemented with various activities that students can choose from. To strengthen balanced soft skills and hard skills, all study programs implement project-based learning methods or Project Based Learning (PBL) and Case Method in certain courses so that students are accustomed to real projects, have a strong mentality, are good at communicating, with good attitudes and morals.
The focus of the scientific field in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry (JREIP) emphasizes applied science in the fields of electronics, renewable energy, robotics, industrial automation, agricultural industrial control, agronomy, agricultural/plantation cultivation. This scientific field is also applied in the implementation of applied research and community service carried out by lecturers by involving students and can collaborate with partners. The expected output and outcome can provide a positive contribution to the advancement of science and technology in society at large.
To date, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry (JREIP) has produced graduates who have worked in various sectors, such as the industrial sector, both private and state-owned, the education sector, private companies, and multinational companies, as well as entrepreneurs spread throughout Indonesia.
